everything new is a piece of music I had been playing without a title for awhile. one day I was playing in front of my local coffee shop, and a child, maybe 16 months, toddled up to me with the most amazing look of wonder. i've become quite used to this look, actually, having been gawked at by many a young one, riveted on me, this strange magician. inevitably, their parent will give them a dollar to put into my hat, and they'll waddle over and let the money float out of their hand, staring at my hands as they glide on the fretboard. everything new is about that sense of pure, innocent wonder.
